Six Months
Harper is now six months old! What a blessing she is to us and what a fun age! I love how much she giggles and how generally content she is. She is sitting up now, although she still topples over easily. Brent and I love waking her up in the morning and seeing her first smile of recognition.

She is still loving her toes and some of the toys she enjoys right now are the firefly that lights up and makes high pitched noises (she will wave her arms in excitement when she sees it), her Mozart cube and her banana. She really seems to respond to music. Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star is her favorite lullaby, I think, because she will always get relaxed when I sing that to her.

She had a cold a couple of weeks ago. Whew, that was a tough week! I'm so glad she is feeling better now, and it makes me appreciate her current good health. She had her six month appointment, and she is still as long as ever!
Height -- 27 3/4 inches (greater than 95%)
Weight -- 16 lbs. 2 ounces (53 %)
Head -- 17 1/2 inches (93%)

A definite sweetheart!
The other day she pulled her bow down over her eyes while riding in the car, and I watched her do it in the mirror. I fully expected her to start crying immediately, but instead, she just didn't seem to mind. She rode with her "eye visor" like that for a couple of minutes until we got to our destination, and I couldn't resist snapping a picture before coming to her rescue.

Eating is progressing, and Harper has accepted rice cereal and even seems to like it...we are experimenting with vegetables now. So far she has only had peas, but I am planning to make zucchini this week and also try potatoes. At first the peas were altogether disgusting by the look on Harper's face, but after a few days, she is warming up to them. Brent is especially good at feeding her!
