Nine Months
We've been missing our regular camera for much of the past month. We sent it off to get a maintenance cleaning, and I didn't realize how much I would truly miss it until we were without it! But we did our best in the meantime, and I am happy to have it back now! Harper is now in motion like never before! She is crawling forwards (instead of her previous reverse technique). She is still getting all the coordination down, but it's amazing to watch her getting faster and more fluid in her movements everyday. She also cut two more teeth on the top middle, so now she has four teeth. And finally she has learned a very impractical trick these days--to stick out her tongue. She hopes people take it as cute and not rude. :)
Harper's first day in the nursery at church. She was glad to have Aubrey and Edie there showing her the ropes.
Our niece Adelyn turned one in early May! Here she is testing out the icing on her birthday cupcake.
Having fun at cousin Addy's 1st birthday party!
"If I shake my teether any harder I might burst!"
Harper's first time to wear a bow in her actual hair...woo hoo!
A new favorite toy
"Look at me sitting up in my crib like it's nothing!"
When we did get our camera back, Harper knew it was time to get geared up for a photo shoot to appease her mama!

Getting warmed up for the shoot...
Looking outside through her window
"Look, Mom...I can crawl right up to the camera now..."
"...and stick out my tongue!"
Here is the photo my mom used for the sketch.
And here is the beautiful finished product!
Harper also had her nine month doctor's appointment today.

Recently my mom went as a sponsor with a group of high school students to Chiang Mai, Thailand on a mission trip. While there, she took two photos of Harper and had an artist at the night bazaar make sketches from the photos. She surprised Brent and me with this beautiful sketch, which we absolutely love and have hanging in our bedroom. Thanks, Mom!

Harper also had her nine month doctor's appointment today.
She is 30 inches (95%), 18 lbs. 13 oz. (50%), and 18 inches for her head (90%). There is a big brain in that noggin, and she is still favoring her daddy in the height department! :)
Here are some pictures from her nine month photo shoot:
We see this scrunched up face a lot these days!
Finally, here is a video of Harper during her first week of crawling! Thank you, Uncle Brian, for capturing that video! :)
