Seventeen Months
Harper is now seventeen months old! An adjective that gets used with Harper a lot is "busy." As soon as she enters a room, she gets right to work exploring and finding toys and getting down to business! She is really into her colors right now, and will point out "green" or "yellow" or "red" or "blue" everywhere we go. She is also into wearing her winter hat as often as we'll let her, even indoors. She brings us great joy, and here are some pics from this past month! :)

Harper and Brent are really into peek-a-boo/jump-out-from-behind-a-corner games. They will say "Boo!" at each other and then Brent will hide again and Harper will find him. She loves it and asks for it by saying "Boo!"
In other news, Harper and Marin have a new set-up! We got an extra car seat installed in the back seat, and Tobin is letting us borrow their double stroller for now. So I took the girls on their first outing to the mall! It was a little tricky figuring it all out for the first time, but also successful and fun for all.

I decided to experiment and let the girls get out in the kid area of Barnes and Noble. Harper is not hesitant to walk up to any kid, no matter what age. She was trying to check out what these girls were reading and get her hands on a copy! :)
The other night, Rod and Kam babysat Harper while Brent and I went to see Sean Lennon (John and Yoko's son) in concert with his band. It was in a small club, and Brent and I had a cozy, reserved table just a few feet away from the stage. It was awesome!

Recently Harper likes riding on the little horses at the park.
And we check out board books by the bucket these days! Here Harper is reading about some baby ducks at the library.
Harper's speed is quickly approaching a run now!
Yay for seventeen months! :)
