Seven Months and SXSW
Brent and I have decided that each progressive month with Harper becomes our favorite age. Harper has discovered her "m" sound and says "ma-ma" now, which makes my heart melt. I know she probably doesn't really attach the meaning to it yet, but I look forward to the day when she does. Harper is also sitting up well now and starting to inch her knees up under her like she is going to get in a crawl position soon perhaps. We will have to start thinking about baby proofing our house!

Over Spring Break, we took a family road trip to Austin. Brent's Aunt Carla and Uncle Johnny live there, and they were very sweet to host us as we checked out the South by Southwest music festival. We saw lots of great bands and ate some yummy food. We weren't sure how Harper would nap on-the-go as we were at the festival the better part of each day, but she did great. She loved the Bjorn (thank you, Kristen, for letting us borrow that!). When we first put her in it, she was kind of giddy, waving her arms around. Brent had the good idea to order Harper some "sound muffs" to protect her little ears from the sometimes loud music. She looked hilarious in them, but they were definitely needed at times.

Aunt Carla was so sweet to play and read to Harper. We also really appreciated her baby sitting Harper so that Brent and I could go out to a nice dinner together.
We also had the fun of babysitting Addy the other day. She was such a good girl. When she woke up from her nap, she was just sitting up contentedly in her crib. Harper and Addy had a great time playing together, and they were so cute as they reached out to each other and grabbed at each other's toys.

The other night Brent and I had a great night out with Joe Dan and Kelli. I tried sushi for the first time, which for me is a big deal! I have always hated fish so I assumed the raw variety would only be worse. I have to admit, I was wrong, and I really enjoyed all of it! Harper loved sitting with her Aunt Kelli! :)
Harper opening her Easter basket a little early from Nana...she got some books, a purple bunny, a cute butterfly dress and a rubber ducky dressed as a sheep...she loved all of it!
Finally, we meant to get six month pictures of Harper, but they turned into almost seven month pictures. Here is a seven month picture we took as well as some of her pictures from the studio.
Please ignore my narrative, but here is an example of Harper's new giggle she does. She will do this a lot in the backseat of the car...either she has an imaginary friend or she just likes to entertain herself by laughing out of the blue. :)
