House Sitting
We are home now after house sitting / dog sitting for the past ten days. Brent's brother Brian, his wife Jenevieve, and their daughter Adelyn went on a very cool vacation up to the Yellowstone National Park region, and we got to house sit in their beautiful new home while they were away. It was fun to have a new setting for a time, and Harper loved being around the dogs! She even said her first word during this time...dog! An animal lover in the making! It is nice to be back home now, but we had a great time! Enjoy some pictures...
We also enjoyed going to the Farmer's Market and to a nearby nature reserve in the evening when it was a little cooler. Here we are hiking in the reserve.
Lucy, the black lab
Ringo, the adorable mutt
Harper was more "hands-on" with patient Lucy...
...but gave Ringo more of the respect he deserves :)
Their home has a cool wooded area and creek just beyond the backyard. We enjoyed sitting out in the evenings and watching the fire flies.
One night Brent's folks and his grandma came over for dinner. Harper had fun with her great grandma!
Harper was fascinated with Brent's shoes...
...so T-Pa helped her try them on!
Stairs were also a new thing for Harper to explore while house sitting...she liked to crawl to the edge and reach down.
Although it may sound like we were hosting parties all the time, we really weren't! But we did get to spend one evening with Krister, Tobin and Marin, which is always a treat!
Brian and Jenevieve are lucky...they have such great stuff around them! Supposedly they will be getting the first In-N-Out Burger in Texas just minutes from their house...jealous! We are ready and willing to house sit again anytime, guys! :)
