Harper is one!
For Harper's birthday, we had a little ladybug themed party. We put Harper down for her nap with an empty house, and when she woke up, there was a house full of people ready to celebrate her birthday! I don't think she quite knew what to think when we brought her out all dressed in her party outfit, but she quickly woke up and warmed up, and had a great time!

We had a delicious vegetable tray that Aunt Jenevieve made as well as tons of Palio's pizza.

Harper got so many wonderful gifts, but this one was so fun and unique! This is from T-Pa and Mimi (Brent's folks), and it is a Tickle Monster book with Tickle Monster puppet hands to go along with the story! Harper loves books, and I'm sure this one will grow to be a favorite!

After opening presents, it was time for the cupcakes. Harper is more of a salty girl than a sweet girl, so I wasn't sure what she would think of her birthday treat. She was very cautious at first, just dipping her finger into the icing. After a bit of encouragement, she started going at it, and by the end, she was a mess! It was in her hair, up her whole arm, and we just ended up giving her a quick bath after it was all said and done. She was full of smiles and seemed to have a great time!

As you can see from the above picture, Harper was pretty revved up after her party, and instead of napping that afternoon, she just sat in her crib and squealed and babbled. There was no resting for this party animal! I think Harper really enjoyed her day, and we felt so blessed to be surrounded by so many that love Harper! Happy 1st Birthday!!!
