Harper's Friend

Harper is blessed, and I am too, to have a new addition to our world two to three times a week. The sweetie pie above is named Marin, and she is the daughter of our great college friends Krister and Tobin. She is about two months older than Harper. It all worked out that I would get to take care of Marin part-time, and what a blessing that is to us for Harper to have such a sweet playmate to learn and grow with!

On the first day of "school," we took "class pictures." We will take them again in June on the last day of "school" to see how much our girls have grown!

What cutie pies!

After breakfast, I take the girls on a wagon ride around the neighborhood.

They have a great time on these rides. I am looking forward to cooler weather so that we can venture into the park and swing as well!

Everyday after lunch, we also have "class time." We go into Harper's nursery and listen to a few kid songs and read a few books together. Marin is more passionate about music and Harper is more passionate about books. It is fun to see their similarities and differences.

The funniest thing happened on this day. Harper had woken up from her first nap earlier than Marin and had already finished her lunch when Marin was still eating. Harper was then pulling up on Marin's booster seat and opening her mouth, and Marin would dutifully pop a piece of food into it. What a little beggar! It made me laugh, and I had to snap a picture.

Holding hands during breakfast...I mean really, how sweet.

So when not eating or sleeping, going to "class" or taking a ride, there is lots of time for playing...

...giving hugs...

...and exploring the house together.

These two are special friends already!!
